GEAC: D3 City Councilors (April 08, 2026)

On Second Wednesdays, our Government and Economic Affairs Committee (GEAC) hosts the meeting and brings important presentations to the table. We'd also like to extend a thank you to Morningstar at Laurelhurst for allowing us to use their meeting room each month!

For this meeting, we will welcome our 3 City Councilors from District 3 to hear about their successes and challenges since taking office last year. Plus - bring your questions because we will reserve time for Q&A.

Making Your Contributions Go Further (April 15, 2026)

Portland’s non-profit organizations need our support. Chamber member, Pete Johnson, financial advisor at Principal Financial Group, will facilitate a discussion on ways to support non-profit organizations, from employer matching and in-kind contributions to planned giving. Chamber member and local non-profit, Leach Botanical Gardens, will be used as a reference for examples of how we can support our local charitable organizations.

EPCC Member Spotlight: SnowCap Community Services (April 22, 2026)

4th Wednesdays are reserved for our members to welcome us into their place of work and tell us all about what they do! Member Spotlights (aka Member hosted) presentations are a great way to really dive in to the nitty gritty and share all about what you have to offer. For this meeting, we're looking forward to visiting a second location for SnowCap Community Services!

We are excited to welcome the East Portland Chamber of Commerce at SnowCap Community Services. Guests will have the opportunity to tour our clothing program and ask questions about how we support our neighbors in need. Visitors are also welcome to bring donations of food or clothing to help our community.

Currently, we are especially in need of:

Men’s clothing
Shoes
Pet food
Paper bags
Cans of vegetables or protein, with bonus points for pop-top cans

SnowCap Community Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID: 23-7121915) dedicated to providing food, clothing, advocacy, and essential services to those in need. As one of Oregon’s largest sources of food assistance, we serve over 17,000 people across the Portland metro area every month. This vital work is made possible by the dedication of more than 1000 volunteers, guided by a small team of 13 staff members—all without major government funding. The demand for our services continues to grow, and SnowCap remains steadfast in meeting that need.

Every day, we strive to ensure families have access to the basic resources they need to thrive.

In April, we are hosting an extra lunch in conjunction with the 82nd Ave of Roses Parade. This year's Parade is expanded to a 3 day festival and we are excited to host a Foodcart Lunch smack dab in the middle of it!

Join us on April 24 at Noon at CORE for a casual lunch!
